Environmental Stewardship Seeds Student Worker

Description:
MnDOT’s Office of Environmental Stewardship (OES) is looking for a student worker with GIS experience to help manage environmental mapping data. Your work will support better coordination across teams and help streamline decision-making for transportation planning and projects.

Primary Tasks:

  • Help create, update, and maintain GIS databases and internal/web-based applications using tools like ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Story Maps
  • Support the development of “Green Assets” to track vegetation investments and functional roadside vegetation
  • Research and assist in developing GIS applications, datasets, and tools based on the needs of OES staff

The Seeds Student Worker Program accepts applications year-round for college students interested in working at MnDOT. College students who meet the program’s eligibility requirements may apply at any time. If the Seeds program does not have a current opening in your field of study, your application is kept on file and you will be contacted if a vacancy opens.
