About this 2025 bridge project
All lanes open
Good news—Hwy 27 opened to traffic Tuesday afternoon, June 3. The bridge is open and the detour lifted. Please watch for crews and equipment along the detour route as they remove traffic control devices and detour road signs through June 6.
MnDOT thanks the public for their patience during this five week bridge project.
Summary of work
MnDOT replaced the Hwy 27 bridge over a stream, built in 1960, just east of Morrison Co. Rd. 8 and 12 miles west of Onamia.
- Replace bridge
- Resurface road approaches
- Revise signal approach system at Co. Rd. 8
- Update shoulder barriers/railing and ditch slope
