Open house set for July 30 in Plainview for Hwy 42 resurfacing, culvert replacement project
PLAINVIEW, Minn. – The public is invited to an open house on Tuesday, July 30 in Plainview to learn about a 2020 construction project to resurface Hwy 42 and replace culverts along the road, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Representatives from MnDOT will on hand to answer questions and provide information from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., July 30 at Plainview City Hall at 241 W. Broadway.
MnDOT is scheduled in 2020 to repave Hwy 42 from Plainview to the west side of the newly replaced bridge west of Hwy 61. Work will also include culvert replacements, which will require a detour for a period during the project. Wabasha County will also be doing work at Wabasha Co. Rds. 4 and 8. MnDOT will be coordinating with Wabasha on access.
People may drop by at any time during the open house session to learn more about the project, offer feedback, and ask questions. Maps and information will be available. There will be no formal presentation. The open house format allows for more individual discussions and participants to come and go at times that best fit their schedules.
