Highway 169 lane closures south of Shakopee begin Sunday, Oct. 6
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists traveling on Highway 169 south of Shakopee will encounter two-way, head-to-head traffic near County Road 14 beginning Sunday, Oct. 6 through mid-November.
Crews will reroute southbound Highway 169 traffic between 145th Street and south of County Road 14 so workers can safely install pipe under the highway.
All local traffic will be detoured around the closure via 145th St. to County Road 14. Motorists also will be unable to access southbound Highway 169 from County Road 14 beginning Sunday, Oct. 6 through late October. Traffic will be detoured around the closure via County Road 14 to 145th St.
In late October, the head-to-head traffic will shift to the southbound lanes to complete the project. The work is part of a larger project to construct a diverging diamond interchange at the Highway 169/41/78 intersection in Jackson and Louisville townships in Scott County. Construction began in fall 2018 and is anticipated to be completed in late fall 2020.
Motorists are encouraged to allow for extra time and check 511mn.org before traveling for information on road conditions, closures and detour routes. For additional updates, ‘like’ MnDOT at facebook.com/mndot, and follow @mndotnews on Twitter.
