Upcoming

Information about upcoming traffic impacts will be posted as details become available. Motorists can expect lane and ramp closures during construction. Motorists should be aware that some nearby construction projects will have overlapping traffic impacts with the I-94 Minneapolis work. All lanes on I-94 between 11th Ave. South and Franklin Ave. Southeast are open to traffic for the Minnesota State Fair from through Labor Day. Work will resume after Labor Day to complete the removal of crossovers and other items such as signage and lighting.

About this project

We will be doing maintenance and repair work on five bridges along I-94 in Minneapolis. These bridges include:

  • I-94 bridge (Dartmouth Bridge) that spans the Mississippi River
  • Riverside Ave. bridge over I-94
  • I-94 over Cedar Ave.
  • I-94 over the Light Rail Transit (Blue Line)
  • I-94 over Hwy 55/Hiawatha Ave.
