Rescheduled: Eastbound I-94 lane closures in Washington County begin April 7

Roseville, Minn. – Starting at 9 p.m. Sunday, April 7, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will reduce eastbound Interstate 94 to a single lane between Highway 120/Century Avenue and Woodbury Drive while construction crews shift traffic toward the road shoulder. Then at 5 a.m. Monday, April 8, eastbound I-94 will be reduced to two lanes until the middle of July while crews prepare to pave the westbound lanes of I-94.

Crews will also close the entrance ramp from Highway 120/Century Avenue to eastbound I-94 starting at 9 p.m. Sunday, April 7 through the fall. Motorists can bypass the ramp closure by using Highway 120/Century Avenue, Hudson Road, McKnight Road, and eastbound I-94.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and slow down in work zones where workers are present.

MnDOT will be resurfacing the pavement and making other improvements to I-94 between Highway 120/Century Avenue and the St. Croix River through fall 2024. The work will improve safety, traffic flow and ride smoothness.
