Crews begin Hwy 5 cable median barrier project on July 29

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Crews will reduce both directions of Highway 5 in Chanhassen and Eden Prairie to one lane nightly as they make safety improvements to the roadway, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Beginning Monday, July 29, crews will close one lane on Highway 5 in each direction between Century Boulevard and Heritage Road from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. while installing guardrails and cable median barriers. Crews plan to complete the work by Sept. 21.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change.
