Hwy 73 resurfacing north of Chisholm begins May 19
DULUTH, Minn. –The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be starting pavement resurfacing work on Hwy 73 north of Chisholm on May 19. Motorists can expect single lane traffic controlled by flaggers and a pilot car during daytime work hours.
This 19-mile work zone is located between Johnson Road and Hwy 1 on Hwy 73. A temporary full closure of Hwy 73 with a detour will be required in June. All project work is expected to be complete in late September.

Work Zone Safety Tips:
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for speeding in a work zone is $300.
- Drive undistracted. Avoid using cell phones, mobile devices, adjusting the radio – even eating –while in work zones.
- Move over. Give workers room to safely complete their work.
