MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend an open house on Monday, June 16, to learn about the upcoming Highway 22 resurfacing project from St. Peter to Highway 111.
The open house will be held from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at the St. Peter Community Center -

Senior Room, 600 S. 5th Street. Representatives from MnDOT and the contractor will be available to share project details and answer questions. Attendees are welcome to arrive at any time during the open house as there will be no formal presentation.

The project includes resurfacing approximately 12 miles of Highway 22 from the intersection with Nicollet County Road 20 to Highway 111. Additional improvements include adding a right turn lane at Nicollet County Road 20, upgrading intersection lighting, and culvert repairs.

Construction is expected to begin in mid-July and continue through mid-October. Traffic will be detoured to Highway 111 and Nicollet County Road 15 during construction. All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change.
Benefits of the project include improved pavement and drainage, and increased safety with upgraded lighting and access modifications. Ulland Brothers, Inc. was awarded the project with a bid of $3,873,434.47.
