Work on Highway 316 between Nicolai Avenue and 200th Street in Ravenna Township begins June 9
Roseville, Minn. – Crews will reopen Highway 316 between 200th Street and the south junction of Highway 61 by 6 a.m., Friday, June 6, and begin work between Nicolai Avenue and 200th Street, on June 9, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Beginning at 6 a.m. Monday, June 2, Highway 316 will be closed in both directions from Nicolai Avenue to 200th Street. This section of Highway 316 expected to reopen in mid-July, followed by one more closure this year.
During this closure there will be a signed regional detour using Highway 61 to bypass Highway 316. There will also be a signed local detour for motorists accessing homes and businesses in the area using 200th Street, Ravenna Trail, and 10th Street.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slow down in work zones where workers are present.
MnDOT is repaving Highway 316 between the south junction of Highway 61 in Welch Township and Tuttle Drive in Hastings. In addition, crews are adding turn lanes at Oxley Avenue, Bauer Circle and Pine Ridge Road, and improving drainage on the north end of the project near Tuttle Drive.
The project is anticipated to be completed this October. Once finished, this stretch of Highway 316 will have a smoother road surface, improved safety, and improved drainage.
