Concrete repairs will restrict Interstate 94 traffic between Maple Grove, Rogers this weekend
St. Paul, Minn. – Interstate 94 between Maple Grove and Rogers will be partially closed this weekend while crews repair more than nine miles of concrete pavement as part of warranty work on the interstate, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The interstate will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between Highway 101 in Rogers and the Fish Lake Interchange (I-94 and I-494) in Maple Grove from 10 p.m. Fri., Sept. 12 through 5 a.m. Mon., Sept. 15. At the same time the ramp from Weaver Lake Road to westbound I-94 will be closed to allow for full depth concrete repair.
Motorists are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid congestion and delays to reach their destinations.
This summer and fall, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is repairing concrete pavement at various locations in the Twin Cities Metro area. Motorists may drive past lane closures along the highway with no apparent work as concrete pavement cures to full strength.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule dependent and subject to change.
