MnDOT to host public meeting in Hampton for 2026 Highway 50 pavement project Sept. 22

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the Hampton, New Trier and Douglas Township communities to learn about the 2026 pavement project on Highway 50 between Highway 52 and Highway 61 on Monday, Sept. 22.

The meeting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dan’s Bar and Grill, 8485 240th Street East, Hampton; no food or drink service will be provided. Visuals of the project and detours will be available, and the project team will be on hand to answer questions. There will not be a formal presentation.

MnDOT is repaving Highway 50 between Highway 52 in Hampton and Highway 61 near Miesville to provide a smoother road surface, extend pavement life, and improve safety by adding a right turn lane at the County Road 85/Goodwin Avenue in Hampton Township. Crews will also be updating accessibility by adding a pedestrian ramp and sidewalk at the intersection of Highway 50 and County Road 85/Hogan Avenue in New Trier and will update drainage.

MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all people in their programs, services and activities.
