Public meeting on June 9 for the Highway 8/Lake Boulevard study from Chisago City to Taylors Falls

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will host a final public meeting for the Highway 8/Lake Boulevard study from Chisago City to Taylors Falls on Tuesday, June 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lindstrom Community Center, 13292 Sylvan Ave.

The public is invited to learn more about the study and provide feedback on recommendations for improving the Highway 8 study area. Attendees will be able to ask questions and share input with the study team. The public may stop by at any time. A brief presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m.

If members of the public are unable to attend the meeting, they can review a summary of the Highway 8 study online and provide comments through July 1. The summary report will be posted to the study webpage after the public meeting. To learn more about this study, or to sign up for email updates, visit talk.dot.state.mn.us/hwy-8-chisago-taylorsfalls.

MnDOT started this study in the summer of 2024 to understand what needs and opportunities exist in the study area to inform future projects along the highway, including a pavement resurfacing project planned for 2033. This study will look at ideas to improve vehicle safety and mobility, access management as well as safety and connectivity for people walking, biking and rolling along and across the roadway.

MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all. If you need an ASL, foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), please email your request to ADArequest@state.mn.us or call 651-366-4720.
