Highway 10 exit ramp to Haven Road in Little Falls reopens following bridge repairs

BAXTER, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation announces that the westbound Highway 10 exit ramp to Haven Road (Morrison County Road 76) on the south end of Little Falls is now open to traffic following completion of bridge repairs.

The bridge was damaged late last year when it was struck by a semi-truck, prompting a two-phase repair effort:

Heat straightening of damaged steel: Crews completed the first phase earlier this spring, carefully heating and reshaping steel components to restore their structural integrity.
Installation of custom-fabricated steel plates: The final phase involved installing specially fabricated steel plates to reinforce the damaged girder and diaphragms. With fabrication complete and materials delivered, MnDOT crews returned to the site to finish all necessary repairs.

“We appreciate the public’s patience over the past several months as crews worked to safely restore the bridge,” said Amer Abdulrazzak, MnDOT District 3 principal engineer of bridge and maintenance operations. “We’re pleased to reopen the ramp and return access to the Little Falls community.”

Motorists may resume using the westbound Highway 10 exit to Haven Road as usual.
