Impacts

June 1 - early September

  • Hwy 169: One lane each way, no shoulders, lane shifts and reduced speeds; traffic will shift and bypass around the closed work zone
    • Be prepared to stop and slow down at busy recreational peaks
  • Hwy 27: Closed to/from Hwy 169
  • Co. Rd. 35 (Twilight Rd.): Access closed to/from Hwy 27 - access north of the intersection
  • Business and local access open; however, expect changes and use of temporary entrances, follow signs

About this roundabout project

MnDOT will improve access and safety at the north junction of Hwy 27 and Hwy 169 with a new roundabout. The project requires Hwy 27 to detour.

Highlights

  • Install a four-legged roundabout at the intersection of Hwy 27, Hwy 169 and the west Frontage Rd.
  • Reconstruct adjacent entrances:
    • Realign Co. Rd. 35 (Twilight Rd.) to/from westbound Hwy 27
    • Install right in-out entrance at the Veterans Club on eastbound Hwy 27
    • Install concrete median with 3/4 accesses to/from Hwy 169
  • Install pedestrian crosswalks and approaches
