Highway 59 traffic: Obey the automated traffic signals.

Highway 108 east traffic: Follow in-town detour. Trucks use truck routes.

Current traffic impacts

Be prepared to stop on Highway 59 as Stage 2B is underway
  • Stage 2B underway: Highway 59 reduced to one lane between Fifth Avenue NE and Eighth Avenue NW
    • Automated traffic signals setup on each side of work zone to direct traffic one lane at a time. Be prepared to stop.Your patience is important!
  • Stage 4A & 4B underway: Highway 108 east closed between 2 1/2 Street and 6th Street.
    • Follow in-town detour on 6th Street and 2nd Avenue SE.
    • Business access: For businesses on the north side of the road, you'll primarily use 4th Street to cross the work zone. If this access is blocked/barricaded, enter at 2 1/2 Street.
  • Downtown work: Bridge crews are completing work at the bridge over the Pelican River on Highway 59 downtown. Parking and sidewalk restrictions on the east side of the bridge.
  • Trucks and other thru-traffic: Truck/thru-traffic routes

Construction schedule

Construction will be completed in phases, starting in April 2024 through Fall 2025. All work and schedules are weather dependent.

Current stages and work:

  • Bridge work downtown, parking/sidewalk restrictions
  • Stage 2B: Hwy 59, Fifth Ave NE to Eighth Ave NW
  • Stage 4A & 4B: Hwy 108 east, 2 1/2 Street to 6th Street
  • Some prep work is also underway on Hwy 108 west, minor traffic impacts expected
