Diversity and Inclusion Programming

Overview

OED’s Diversity and Inclusion Unit supports MnDOT’s mission by offering organizational development, training, and diversity and inclusion programming. MnDOT has 6 D&I committees and 11 teams throughout the agency, to foster an inclusive work environment. OED also offers training to its workforce, which are focused on cultural competence and respectful workplace practices. OED oversees MnDOT’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) program where groups of MnDOT employees, often from traditionally underrepresented groups, meet to support each other in the workplace and to aid the organization in four focus areas of professional development, recruitment, retention and community outreach. Lastly, the D&I Unit leads organizational development throughout the agency as it relates to MnDOT’s diversity and inclusion efforts.
