ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN (GREEN SHEET)

All MnDOT-led and MnDOT-let transportation construction projects will have Environmental Management Plans as of January 1, 2026. 

  1. Review all environmental commitments in Environmental Management Plan (a section in the plan sheets). Invite technical contacts to the preconstruction meeting.
  2. Discuss the requirements at the preconstruction meeting
  3. Contact Technical Contacts whenever there are questions or conflicts regarding environmental commitments
  4. Before approving any related change orders or plan changes, check the spreadsheet in ProjectWise (CO_Environmental/Env_MgmtPlan) to make sure design and other requirements are still being met
  5. Track commitments throughout construction; add notes and complete verification columns in the spreadsheet version located in ProjectWise: CO_Environmental/Env_MgmtPlan  
  6. Submit as-built Environmental Management Plan during project closeout.
