Highway 27 north of Hillman now open to all travelers

BAXTER, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is excited to announce the Highway 27 detour and bridge north of Hillman in Morrison County are now open to all travelers.

MnDOT put a monthlong detour through Onamia in place to replace a bridge over a stream, resurface the road approaches, revise the signal approach system at County Road 8, and update shoulder barriers/railing and ditch slopes.

This $1.5 million project gives motorists a new box bridge that will last 60-plus years, a smoother road surface and improved safety.
