Pavement Management
Overview:
The Office of Aeronautics maintains an Airport Pavement Management system for 103 paved airports in Minnesota. The data is housed in a software package called MicroPAVER. Airports are surveyed on a three year cycle, and until the year 2007, the data was collected by Office of Aeronautics staff. In 2008, the Office of Aeronautics contracted with Applied Research Associates (ARA) to collect the annual pavement field distress data. ARA also updates the MicroPAVER database with any new pavement construction data, as well as any pavement maintenance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction data. Below are the individual airport reports for all airports surveyed in and 2009. The 2007 reports are the older MnDOT formatted reports. The 2008 and 2009 reports are in the ARA format. The reports contain much more detail as to the contents of the reports, and the Airport Pavement Management System. You may contact Arika Johnson at arika.johnson@state.mn.us or 651-356-1336 with any questions you might have about the reports or the Pavement Management System.
Interactive Pavement Condition Web Tool:
AIRView is an interactive pavement condition web based tool that supplies information about public airports in Minnesota that have paved runways. To use this tool and view the pavement condition index (PCI) reports for your airport, navigate to this link: AIRView.
