Launched in 1992, the EAA Young Eagles program has dedicated over 30 years to giving youth ages 8–17 their first free ride in an airplane. Today, over 2.5 million young people have enjoyed a free introductory flight through the Young Eagles program. These flights are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers. EAA Chapter 1518 will hold its 49th Annual Fly-in/Drive-in Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, Aug. 3. The breakfast will be part of the greater Red Wing River City Days celebration that will be held during the weekend. Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon at the Red Wing Regional Airport located in Bay City Wisconsin. The Red Wing Airport is located in Wisconsin because that is where the closest flat land is located. Breakfast will feature Sturdiwheat Pancake, S&S Sugarbush Maple Syrup and Smoked Sausage from Watson Meat Locker in Plum City, WI. and milk from the Pierce County Dairy Promotion Committee. Cost has not gone up from last year's price of $10 per adult, $5 for children ages 5-11 and kids under 5 are free. We have a family rate of $30 for two adults and their minor children. PIC eat free.
